Mahila Nyay Panchayat

A women led gender just forum for handling issues of violence and exploitation from a feminist perspective has been functional since 2002. Till date the MNP has handled over 2500 number of cases. It provides services of mediation, counselling, and support to access other reliefs such as shelter home, medical aid, Legal aid police support etc. The women who approach the MNP include those beaten physically and psychologically abused, women harassed for dowries and births of daughters, doubted for fidelity, sexually abused and victims of bigamous marriages.
