A women’s rights help centre functioning since 2007 is managed by women from the community who are trained in use of Right to Information act and are aware of schemes and entitlements meant for women and marginalised groups. The Kendra provides multiple services and support to women and men om accessing their rights and entitlements from the government.  These range from assistance in accessing government forms, filling them up, accompanying her, often more than once, to meet government officials, to inquire about the status of pending applications etc. The cell is approached for simple needs of getting names included or excluded from ration cards and for relatively complex matters of access to land records, inclusion of names in land and property.
